About BYD

Through rigorous academic and scientific research, BYD is helping rediscover the secrets of Ayurveda, Yoga and Astrology, through original Sanskrit texts.

Along with a Gurukulam (NIOS accredited), BYD offers educational courses and seminars throughout India, outreach projects in regional villages, summer yoga camps, as well as in-person and online classes in Sanskrit, Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Ayurveda, Vastu and other subjects.

The picturesque campus of BYD captures the ambience of Vedic times.

Multiple projects include the construction of an awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar — a Jaipur-style Vedic observatory – with a goal to update the Indian astrological calendar for accurate Muhūrtam. Thousands of Indian native plants and herbs and a large herd of original Indian Desi cows are raised for their beneficial Yogic and Ayurvedic properties.

The vision of Dr. Jois is carried out by a dedicated team of scholars and trustees.

Trained under Dr. Jois and knowledgeable scholars such as Sri Ramabhadracharya, under the lineage of the great yogi, Sri Ranga Mahaguru (1913-1969).
